FUSION // NUCLEUS
„FUSION“ is an art research project based on scientific data of a nuclear fusion by Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics, Munich. The data of experiment MHI41417 were sonified and visualized and then processed into an artistic interpretation.
Nuclear fusion is a reaction in which two or more atomic nuclei are combined to form one or more different atomic nuclei and sub- atomic particles. Within the foreseeable future a reactor could replicate the sun’s energy source on Earth through scientific and technological innovation of a scale previously unimagined.
The data points of the experiment were downsampled from 2M Hertz to frequencies in the human listening range and then visually processed.
